Rainbow Week

Oct 22

Posted by: Shane Mikhail Medina

We’re currently in the planning stages of what we’re calling Rainbow Week - a week of on-campus Queer Pride events, culminating in a miniature on-campus Pride March that’ll be on November 12th. We’re also planning to do Homo 101, along with a showing of The Laramie Project, with a Real Conversation (facilitated by OIR) to follow afterwards. If anyone wants to participate or help plan, we’d appreciate the assistance. Until then, keep an eye on this spot for updates.

(Now that I’m better at using this system.)

I hope everyone had a wonderful summer, and I want to welcome our new members and welcome back the old ones. Please look forward to what will certainly be a fabulous new year, filled with great events and great people! If you can, come visit us at Main Street tomorrow, just look for the rainbow tablecloth and the shining field of absolute awesome.

And keep an eye out on that calendar, pretty soon we’ll be flooding it with new events!

The Election is Now Open

Apr 21

The election for members of the ODU Out Executive Committee and Distinguished Service Awards is now open. Anyone with a valid ODU email address who is a member of the ODU Out roster may vote. Potential voters can continue to add themselves to the roster (by adding ODU Out to their co-curricular transcript) for the purpose of voting up until the close of the election on 28 April 2009 at 1:00pm. Instructions for joining the ODU Out roster are available on our FAQ or from current officers.

Please take the time to access the ballot and submit your vote. There are write-in sections for every position and award; however, anyone elected to an office via write-in vote must accept their election to office before being recognized as a member of the Executive Committee.
